About the Authors

Ed Slegers: DC, BSN, RN

Dr. Slegers is a chiropractor and registered nurse with over 30 years experience. 

He has worked extensively with staff development & training as well as medical audits / claims in the insurance industry. 

He has lectured to insurance claims adjusters, chiropractors and the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) in Colorado Springs, CO.  

He has also been an instructor of Anatomy & Physiology at local community colleges for 14 years. 

He is currently running a consulting practice for insurance claim audits.


Gerry Kent, LMP

Gerry graduated with honors from Ashmead College and has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 1996.

As part of his massage practice he taught massage and related subjects for 5 years at local massage schools. He also conducted seminars and co-wrote (with Ed Slegers) the home study guides on this site for massage therapists and chiropractors. He has over 30 years experience in the no massage corporate world working in technical fields and quality assurance. 

As a massage therapist his focus was injury treatment massage, specializing in a variety of deep 

tissue techniques that range from very gentle to more vigorous methods that are effective and suited 

to the clients needs and tolerance level. He enjoys doing massage and helping people as well as 

educating them in ways they can help themselves in the healing process. 

Gerry also enjoys the outdoors, playing with his grand children and playing music.

He and his wife have 5 children and 7 grand children along with 2 dogs and a cat.


Dianne Fuller, LMT, CCT

As of July 1, 2017 Dianne became the new owner of Puyallup Massage and Bodywork. 

Graduating from Clover Park Technical College in 2010 with a concentration in Clinical Massage (Treating Injury & Conditions) she has many treatment techniques including Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, MFR, NMT, Cupping/VacuTherapy and Intra-oral certification, to utilize during her treatments. She has gained knowledgeable experience by working in partner at chiropractic office, a medical treatment massage clinic, and self-practice as well as mentoring by other advanced therapists, giving her a wide range of techniques to assist in pain relief and to help people get back to normal daily activities. 

Dianne is exceptionally proficient in relieving low back pain and sciatica by treating gluteal muscles 

and using stretching techniques to increase range of motion. Neck, Shoulder, Headache treatment 

and prenatal massage is also a strong skill set possessed by Dianne.

Dianne’s treatment philosophy is based on the belief that her patients’ needs are of the utmost importance and she is committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of her business is from repeat clientele and referrals. 

She takes the time to listen to what her patients say and treats those issues according 

to long standing body postures caused by daily life and work activities.

She is a very competent therapist and has a love and passion for massage 

and helping people to heal and feel better. 

Dianne's love of massage started as a young child when she would receive massage by her 

great-grandmother of whom she credits for piquing her interest in alternative treatments 

and healthy living.

When she is not working you can find her spending time with her boyfriend, their 2 spoiled dogs, 

or scrapbooking, gardening or out riding her 2015 Harley Davidson Street Glide.
